Spilja Vranjaca Cave

A spectacular cave situated inside the Mosor mountain at a depth of 107 meters and at a constant 15 degrees.

Opened to the public in 1929, research has  revealed that the cave was once inhabited by Neolithic man, a theory supported by the presence of earthenware objects and bone fragments found in the cave.

Paths connect the main chamber to the 9 smaller chambers.

Colourful stalactites and stalagmites, fauna and even a new cave spider as well as over 65 million years old columns and crystal, make this cave very worthwhile seeing.
