About Kamena Lodge and Mravince Village

Kamena Lodge is set in Mravince, the village on the southern slopes of Moser, east of Solin, southeast of Klis, north of Split, west of Žrnovnica.

The first written mention of the name Mravince dates from 1681. Today Mravince has around 1300 inhabitants and is often referred to as Split’s balcony because of the spectacular views of Split, the surrounding area and the central Dalmatian islands of Brac, Hvar, Vis and Solta.

The area surrounding Mravince is steeped in ancient history and one does not need to walk far before Roman buildings and artifacts surround them.

We believe Kamena Lodge to be 200 plus years old and whilst the building required extensive renovation when we first moved in, we have tried to restore the kitchen and exterior areas to their original designs. This means stone walls, vaulted ceilings and our Peka Stove.
We have strived to make Kamena Lodge a clean, comfortable and fun home from home.

All our rooms (including the dormatory) have en-suite bathrooms containing w.c, basin and shower.
Beds are clean and comfortable, with bedside tables and wardrobes. Lockers are provided in the dormatory.
Our pool is open all day in the summer and our guests are welcome to relax in one of the sun beds or hammocks, taking a dip whenever they wish.
